Freeze Adhesive Specification
25.09.2009 ENG 540
RP48 (sales code)
Deep-freeze permanent adhesive.
Acrylic, water borne.
Should be used when very good adhesion at low temperatures is required. Adhesion to non-polar surfaces is very good. Remains adherent at low temperatures.
Typical technical values
modified FTM 9
Labelling temperature min
Service temperature min
Service temperature max
Limited heat resistance. Should not be used in places where temperature is significantly above room temperature. Convertibility not as good as with other permanents. Edge-bleeding may occur. Not suitable for labelling curved surfaces. Limited adhesion to moist surfaces.
The research centre ISEGA has given the adhesive approval for direct contact with dry and moist and such kind of fatty foods which have a reduction factor of at least 3 according to the EC directive 85/572/EEC.
From the date of manufacture 1 year in +20°C and RH 50% .

THERMAL ECO 200
AZC (sales code)
Non top coated, chemi-thermal paper with standard sensitivity. Very limited resistance to thermal image scratching or smudging.
Information labelling in dry environments such as catch-weight and other short-life time applications in retail end-uses. Avoid contact with moisture, oil, fats and plasticizers (PVC).
Tensile strength MD
Tensile strength CD
Visible red light.
DT printing speed
Direct thermal printing speed up to 200 mm/s.
Store at constant temperature (20°C, RH 50%) in the dark. Exposure to strong sunlight or strong artificial light should be avoided. Also avoid the influence of aggressive chemicals.
With RP 51, guaranteed for two years if stored as recommended. Printed labels are guaranteed for one year if stored as recommended. The face paper has a slight tendency to discolour, but this does not affect the scannability of the bar codes.
Permanent Adhesive Specification

RP5X (sales code)
General purpose strong permanent.
Good adhesion to all normal substrates, including non-polar surfaces, films, and corrugated board. Good low temperature performance.
Not recommended for labelling highly curved surfaces.
The research centre ISEGA has given the adhesive approval for direct contact with dry and moist non-fatty foods.
From the date of manufacture 4 years in +20°C and RH 50%.

HN (sales code)
Top and reverse side barrier coated, chemi-thermal paper with standard sensitivity.
Wide range of information and product labelling requiring good environmental resistance of the printed image and standard sensitivity performance.
Flexography solvent based, water based needs to be checked (humidity and water resistance of the ink), letterpress, offset, screen, UV varnishing. Thermal direct.
For standard printers up to 200 mm/s.
Store at a constant temperature (20°C, RH 50%) in the dark. Damp or hot conditions should be avoided.
A) Dispersion adhesives (except RP45, RP48, RR21, RR22). The laminate is guaranteed for two years if stored in the above conditions. B) RP45, RP48, RR21, RR22 and hot melt adhesives. The laminate is guaranteed for one year if stored in the above conditions. C) Printed labels are guaranteed for one year if stored in the above conditions. Face paper has a slight tendency to discolour, but this does not affect the scannability of the barcodes.
